TASTING NOTES
Rich indeed, with ripe apple fruit, an element of honey and roasted hazelnut. The palate is massive, almost fat, although it is not flabby - there is still acidity here, yet it is rich.
C.C., Decanter.
Opens with aeration, hints of pressed yellow flowers, saffron and citrus peel. The palate is very taut and focused, the oak beautifully integrated, hints of apricot and Clementine towards the oh-so-pretty finish. This will be gorgeous once in bottle.
Neil Martin, Vinous.
A vague whisper of the exotic on the aromas of white peach, passion fruit and floral whiffs. The refined, punchy and solidly concentrated medium weight flavors coat the palate with dry extract while displaying very fine persistence on the balanced and tightly wound finale. This stylish and generously proportioned effort has enough mid-palate fat to permit early accessibility, but the finish makes clear that it has the stuffing to age effortlessly. Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound.
Clear pale lemon and lime. The nose is restrained, suggests a little weight, medium to full bodied on the palate, recognizably a clay rich soil, perhaps a touch more alcohol, but nothing out of balance. Some peachier notes to finish.
Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
