There is ripe apple fruit, a bit of honey and some walnut on the nose. The texture shows a bit more richness and warmth, yet it retains an essential elegance and balance that carry it to impressive length. Well done.
One of the most mineral/terroir-driven aromatics from Sauzet, tensile with flint and gravelly scents. The palate is well balanced with a touch of reduction on the entry, good weight and acidity. Sapid, concentrated, there is a lovely stem ginger element on the finish that lingers. Lots of potential.
Neil Martin, Vinous.
A whiff of phenolic character to the ripe nose of white and yellow peach, petrol, floral and subtle exotic tea wisps. The super-sleek and almost painfully intense flavors exude a subtle minerality on the cuts-like-a-knife, linear and chiseled finish. This sappy and palate staining effort is also lovely. Outstanding!
Allen Meadows, Burghound.
Pale lemon colour, the nose shows a good balance of ripe fruit with some intensity, then an explosion on the palate, predominantly white fruit, ripe apple and fresher pears, but with a couple of bacon aromatics as well. A slight reductive note too. Very complex, excellent volume, quite delicious. Very long finish.
Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
