A vaguely exotic nose features aromas of Asian style tea, acacia blossom, apple compote and anise hints. I very much like the texture of the rich and solidly voluminous flavors that are notably more mineral-inflected on the lingering finish that is also agreeably dry and clean. This could use a bit better depth, but more should reasonably develop if allowed a few years of keeping.
Allen Meadows, Burghound.
Violet, lilac, jasmine, broom but also lemongrass, cumin, juniper berries, green peppercorns, quite spicy aromatic plants, verbena, sage, Vietnamese coriander, bergamot, turmeric; the whole makes a mysterious and bewitching atmosphere, the hallmark of the vintage. Other aromas, such as incense and musk, evoke certain legendary spicy scents.
Raphael Gimenez-Fauvety, De Corps et d'Espirit.
