Vivid ruby. Highly perfumed aromas of red and dark berry liqueur, cherry cola, pipe tobacco, toasty oak and vanilla, along with a building floral topnote. Smooth, broad, appealingly sweet black currant, cherry-vanilla and spicecake flavors show outstanding depth and energy; a vibrant mineral note drives the midpalate. The mineral and floral notes resonate on a strikingly long, chewy, focused finish that features fine-grained tannins and intense dark fruit character.

The aromas of blackberries, dark chocolate and tar are persuasive. Some walnut and smoke, too. It’s full-bodied with firm, lightly chewy tannins and an intense, flavorful finish. Very structured and powerful. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and merlot. Needs time to soften.

Ripe, smooth berry and currant aromas come with a note of graphite on a convincing nose that promises great things to come. The palate on this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cab Franc is smooth and pure, with modest but notable acidic kick. Blackberry, cassis and black pepper flavors are on the money, while this registers as composed, balanced and holding more in store.
