TASTING NOTES

A compact and firm red wine with a delicate delivery of aromas. It starts off with red currant spice mild tobacco and powdered licorice. There are pretty floral tones of rose hip and lavender that are characteristic of this celebrated vineyard cru.

Monica Larner, Wine Advocate.

Rose, perfumed berry, exotic spice and new leather aromas are at the forefront on this elegantly structured red. On the palate, polished fine-grained tannins and fresh acidity offset juicy Marasca cherry, crushed raspberry and baking spice.

Kerin O'Keef, Wine Enthusiast.

Some bright strawberries and raspberries with coal dust and tarry hints in the background. Strawberries on the palate, too. Has a bright, upbeat and tangy feel. Nice freshness through the finish.

James Suckling, jamessuckling.com

The nose is delicate but elegant, with raspberry aromas. Fresh and zesty, this is in a lighter style that befits the vintage but still has vigour and sufficient concentration. Good acidity keeps it lively and it has the virtue of drinkability and crispness on the quite long finish.

S.B., Decanter
