This wine exhibits strength as well as richness. With a dense texture and powerful, warm yellow- and white-fruit flavors, its ripe character is supported by toast and a tight structure.

Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast.

Built on a huge scale, this maturing sagrantino has a lot of ripe blackberry, roasted meat and balsamic aromas. The tannins on the palate are pretty massive, but they are beginning to integrate nicely and that process should continue for some years. Drink or hold.

James Sucking,

Wafts from the glass with notions of crisp orchard fruit, white peach, apple blossom, toasted almonds and vanilla pod. Full-bodied, concentrated and reserved, with good cut and back-end grip, it concludes with a long, delicately honeyed finish.

William Kelley, Wine Advocate.

Apple and lemon flavors are shaded by vanilla in this succulent white, which is balanced, with a tactile feel on the long finish. Approachable now, yet better in a year.

Wine Spectator.
