TASTING NOTES

This wine has beguiling aromas of raspberries, cherries, violets, and Asian spices. It is an extremely well-proportioned, seductive, concentrated, medium-to-full-bodied, and velvety-textured beauty. Sweet red cherries and currants can be found in its delicious flavor profile as well as in its long finish.

P.R., Wine Advocate.

One sniff and you know it's great. Beautifully displayed blackberry, kirsch, spice and mineral character, all very elegant and firmly yet delicately structured. Great length and refinement.

Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator.

Saturated deep red-ruby color. Explosive nose combines black raspberry, mocha, minerals and animal fur. High-pitched and vibrant in the mouth, with superb flavor intensity and a slight note of berry confiture. Clearly longer than the '97 version of this wine. Subtle, slow-building finish. Structured to age.
