This is aromatically pure and ripe with beautifully fresh if restrained aromas of spice, brioche, apricot and white peach preceding round, precise and detailed medium-bodied flavors that display a subtle trace of backend minerality on the impressively long finish where the barest hint of warmth can be detected. This remains remarkably young yet it is actually quite approachable and overall, this is an exceptionally fine and one of the more structured vintages of recent memory for Clos de la Barre. In a word, terrific.
