TASTING NOTES

Unwinds in the glass with aromas of raspberries, plums, forest floor, spices and grilled meats. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and layered, with a broad-shouldered chassis of fine, powdery tannins and lively acids, it's long and penetrating.

William Kelley, Wine Advocate.

There is lovely freshness to the delicious, vibrant and well-detailed flavors that exude evident minerality on the complex, lingering and balanced finale. The supporting tannins are really quite fine and overall, and somewhat surprisingly, the palate impression is almost delicate. Outstanding, Top Value.

Allen Meadows, Burghound.

An intense bouquet of small dark cherries mixed with raspberry and black currant pastille scents; there is fine delineation here. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins, well-judged acidity and a stocky and quite grippy, chalky-textured finish.

Neil Martin, Vinous.

Very heady indeed – a liqueur on the nose! Incredibly rich! Yet with sufficient life and acidity. Amazing punch. Real excitement – concentration but not too much tannin.
