TASTING NOTES

Immensely promising this year, unfurling in the glass with complex aromas of wild blueberries, cassis, dark chocolate and coniferous forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with lively acids, rich structuring tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

William Kelley, Wine Advocate.

The very pure bouquet features ebullient red cherry and raspberry fruit and fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, and quite succulent, with a sorbet-like richness and vibrancy on the finish. This is very well crafted and should age with style. Excellent.

Neil Martin, Vinous.

The higher elevation of the vineyard shows as the expressive and airy nose is even fresher with its array of spiced plum, violet, lavender and wild dark berries. The super-sleek, intense and beautifully well-delineated middle weight flavors brim with minerality that adds a touch of vibrancy to the dusty, youthfully austere and bitter cherry-inflected finale. Lovely and understated in style. *Outstanding*.

Allen Meadows, Burghound.

Jet black with purple rim. The nose is just a little touch fresher than the Vosne-Romanée. A little wilder, some sharper red fruit notes mixed in here, but not aggressively unripe. Good length and an attractive balance. I think this will settle down into a fine wine.
