Big, rich, powerful, punchy and tremendously spicy, this certainly doesn't lack for drama or flavor authority. Tannic and reserved in style and certainly not as ripe as many 2000s with plenty of balancing extract. Layered and nuanced, I like the style of this as it's big but not heavy.
