(12.9% potential alcohol half each from the Puligny and Chassagne portions of this grand cru vineyard) Complex, very ripe aromas of pineapple, flowers and nut oils. Thick, dense and chewy, with sound supporting acidity. Showing a lot of fruit today and thus it comes across as rather approachable. Less elegant than the Bienvenue but with more force, more shoulders. "A more serious wine for aging, as in '99 and '00," notes Boudot. Finishes with excellent structure and thrust.
