Our 2015 ATLAS PEAK très Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted utilizing classic, Premier Grand Cru Bordeaux-style techniques from grapes grown and harvested from our high elevation estate nestled in groves of ancient oaks on 24 acres of Atlas Peak Mountain vineyards, surrounded by native indigenous yeast. Our vineyard culminates at 1,630 feet on the plateau of Atlas Peak Mountain. Its beautiful deep ruby hue represents a blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc. If wines were actors, perhaps it might be described best as having the charm, style, finesse and elegance of John F. Kennedy. This suave wine possesses hints of blackberries, currants, cream-tinged cassis, silkiness from their time aged in French white oak Taransaud barrels. Given the elegant nature of this delicate wine, it offers a lovely mouth-feel and wonderful length on the finish. As with the nose, the palate feels polished, with lovely tannins and has been described as “absolutely exquisite”. It will drink exceptionally well upon release and continue to age gracefully over many years. Very Limited Supply (460 bottles). 2018 Wine of the Year & Double Gold medal recipient.

Our romance with Atlas Peak started when we first glimpsed its magnificent vista of forests and wildflower-filled meadows. Inspired by the notion that Master Sommeliers and noted Wine Critics love the higher elevation mountain vineyards, we settled on Atlas Peak’s rocky volcanic basaltic slopes, as one of the early winery’s to plant vineyards on high-elevation hillsides. Atlas Peak’s rugged terroir has become legendary for producing wines with great intensity and depth—qualities that define the world's finest Cabernet Sauvignons.
