A blend of lots that did not make the grade for the single vineyard offerings. No wimpy wine at 16.4% alcohol, it exhibits deep, jammy black fruits intermixed with saddle leather, pepper, and earth. With an unctuous texture as well as a big, chewy finish, it is a robust, mouth filling, value-priced Zinfandel to enjoy.
Robert Parker, Wine Advocate.
Good full ruby-red. Super ripe aromas of raspberry syrup and flowers, with hints of exotic fruits. Sweet, lush and sappy; big and rich. Very ripe fruit syrup flavors lifted by spice and minerals. Velvety, fat, super ripe Zinfandel with a long, spicy finish.
